These artworks are inspired by my background in textile design, with a particular interest in pattern and texture and tension between scale and form. I’m drawn to modernist art and architecture and as a vintage collector I wanted to create pieces that have a sense of time and place of found objects that would work in a modern environment.

Each piece is made up of many smaller ceramic components which are individually cut and shaped from clay . Once fired they have been hand coloured in a variety of techniques from soft tonal pigments to lux high gloss giving them a unique finish.
