Graphic Art..........Illustration..........Biography..........Contact
Nellie Ryan developed a love for design and illustrating from a young age.
Growing up in New Zealand, she was raised on a healthy diet of coloured
pencils, endless amounts of drawing paper and chocolate.

While completing a Degree in Visual Communication in New Zealand,
Nellie started her career producing quirky watercolour paintings that were
sold nationally. After graduation, Nellie based herself in London
embarking on a career in fashion, working for the acclaimed fashion
designer Jasper Conran. As a fashion designer she created seasonal fashion
ranges for the Jasper Conran women’s wear collections. This enabled her
to focus on both her drawing style and fashion direction.

Over the past ten years working with an international client base Nellie has
gained a reputation for her distinctive and feminine style. Showing versatility
through computer aided design and strong freehand drawing style.
Nellie finds quirky inspiration from flea markets, shops, photography
and travelling abroad.

Recent projects include the illustration of several books : Beautiful Doodles
( both author and illustrator) ) selling over 130,000 copies through out
